Actually both of you are right. She is the goddess of wisdom, strategy, and war. Don't know about being goddess of the home though, I'm fairly certain that was another goddess' domain...

To be more precise, war has 2 gods:
Ares, god of war
Athena, godess of war strategy
And if I recall right, each houses had it's designated god/godess to protect it (most of the time 3, for example: Zeus (was normaly one of the 3
), Artemisa (hunt) and Demetere(harvest)). But, wasn't Aphrodisia godess of Home and love? XD
