Ah, thank you GM-Ayu. I couldn't be bothered to ask in Main for some odd reason. Now I know!

GM-Pandora Wrote:Welcome and yes this is a nice server ^_^ have fun!

Indeed, I'm quite convinced it is. I haven't had much fun soloing in a long time lol.

"People look busy" => I'm pretty sure there's way too many people who are too lazy to un-bore themselves in Prontera just sitting around. You'll find a lot of not-busy people there, lol.

I love Ayu, she has my soul Icon_biggrin

Welcome to HeRO! When im not busy I usually help out new people or people who need something that they can't get, but I can in 5 minutes.

Just ask for street on main, go to to alberta I don't mind helping at all bro.

Eh, I wanted to change my Avatar to match my signature anyways.

Aye, thank you very much for the offer. I'll be sure to come to you if I need help. ("hai i can has zeny plzz? if not i reprt u lolololol")

EDIT:
Also, question. If I want to join in the "heRO Storyline", do I check out 'Roleplay & Story' or 'Chronicles of the heroes / Allegiance system' ?

RE: Salutations - Yuriohs - 09-18-2009

Not sure on that one.

I never really figured out if you are required to be a noble for you to join or w/e.

Id actually would want to know this question 2 xD

RE: Salutations - GM-Ayu - 09-18-2009

We tried character direct involvement last year and that didn't work out too well... cause seems like there's bit of a 'misconception in the difference between RPing and "write an anime plot! heRO GMs will produce it for you!" Sweat RPing is for your character to interact within a fictional world, not so much to program a fictional world to reach out of its way to find you =(

I think we are more "RO with a story" than "RO RP" now... that's probably a more suitable and realistic description for the server. It'll probably stay this way until we escape the anime mindset, at least just a little.

Now people have proposed plenty of events before and you see a few of them used, such as the major arc of last year with Muspelheim and earlier this year's small Change of Season arc with Levia Lusca is a modification and refined work of a player submitted proposal. Just that most of them are great in idea, but little plans in how to actually carry it out.

We also have a few rare occassions where events sprung out purely depending on the topic of @main and if a GM is online. If for some reason the circumstances of @main make it possible, 100% improvised event occur (such as a long time ago, Oniichan's little dilemma with no butterfly wing in a dungeon sprung an event all revolving around a 'Legendary Creamy')

///

In forums, the two are indeed quite mixed XD; usually for me, I post in L/D if there's an event and move them to RP/Story after the event itself is over.

RE: Salutations - Finitevus - 09-18-2009

So if I'm getting it right, it seems that RPing in-game was not much of a success?

Ah darn, what a shame. I've always wanted to try RP in an MMO. I'm quite an active RPer in a few forums before and RPing in an MMO always seemed interesting but I never got the chance to try it. If anything, in order to clear the misconception, show the ropes or an example on how it should be done. That's how I learned anyways...
I'm not that interested in animu, so you can consider me out of that mindset.
