The skills that can be learnt looks rather odd really..., considering the skill trees and weapons available to novices, i'd thought there should be more skills available. They don't even have land mine or learning potion or kyrie eleison but they have stave crasher?

They can use rods so it makes sense I suppose.

Hehe, the more I look at the skill list they have available, the more it makes me laugh. So awesome.

What are they called exactly after this quest???Expanded Super Novice???Super Novice (Expanded)???I think after mastering so many different skill sets and all of that EXP they aren't novices anymore at all.??They should be called Master, Journeyman or Veteran.

"Super Novice" only made sense before the actual class was presented anyway.??Back when people were making 99/10 Novices.??Their most advanced skills were First Aid and Play Dead.??Laugh

I nominate that we have this implemented and call the Meganovices something else.??Like Specialist.??Ok

A quick lesson on renewal mechanics is needed for those who are thinking insta is possible on skills:

First off we look at the formula for cast time that we use:
Cast time = Base time * (1 - DEX/150) * (1 - 0.15 * SUF) * (1 - x * 0.01)
where in suf = level of suffragium active and x = sum of modifiers.

With this calc time, all we need to know is that if you can get that second part of the formula (1-DEX/150) to equal 0 (you do this by getting 150 dex) you no longer have a cast time.

Now for the renewal cast time calc:
castTime = (1 - SQRT((DEX * 2 + INT) / 530)) * (1 - sum_castReduction/100%) * baseCast * 0.8 + (1 - max_fixedReduction/100%) * baseCast * 0.2

There are some big changes in this one- the two most notable are the "max_fixedReduction" and how that INT is now part of the formula. It's no longer as easy as just getting 150 dex. There is also the problem that it's impossible for a majority of spells to be reduced to instacast. There is a maximum reduction that can be used, and then past that, you can't reduce any more.

So yes, instacast in renewal is impossible for the majority of skills.
Yes, it'd be nice to have a ultra-super-novice of DOOM! but not on HeRO.
And most importantly- yes I would love to be devoed by an abracadabra SN.
