Hey, Flossy, don't even worry about the surgery. I'm sure it isn't going to be painful. It happens hundreds of times a day, right? I'm sure they'll fix ya' up. :D

Read that....
Im getting talc as an insufflation so i have a chance to get ARDS (acute respiratory distress syndrome)

GAY That sucks Cry

I wish you luck, but didn't you say they where going to do a video assisted thoracoscopic surgery and not chemicaly?

If they are really using talc, then I'm more preoccupied by something else than just ARDS. Yes ARDS sucks but I'm more concerned by the other problems that can arise when they use talc.

Once again I wish you luck on the operation and that eveything goes smothly.

Yes VATS for when they get rid of the blebs, but they are going to use talc to scar my lung to my ribs

Whats other things that can happen if they use talc, dont be afraid to scare me im not scared at all,

Thanks alot Mr. Auron Icon_biggrin

This is what worried me.Icon_sad
Quote:The highest incidence was that reported by Rehse and associates (6), who retrospectively reviewed 89 talc pleurodesis procedures in 78 patients. They reported that the incidence of respiratory complications or death was 33%; eight patients developed acute respiratory distress syndrome, one patient died, six patients developed dyspnea, and three patients developed re-expansion pulmonary edema (6).
It's taken from the second paragraph about the text conscerning talc.

i wish you the best and quick recovery. but i believe there is not much you can do except pray that it all goes smoothly. and i will be praying for that.

I still believe that the best way to go through anything is to be prepared and without any expectation and a bucket load of courageIcon_wink .

but if it happens hundreds of times a day, why would they not do it often?

Kissy wish you the best and come back to us soon ok.Kissy2
