I'll look into it after the holidays.

RE: Roleplay Forum - Fatalis - 12-26-2007 11:08 PM

There sort of already is a story on heRO, what with the 13 chapters having occurred. The problem is co-ordinating RP between chapters, but I'm sure an easy solution can be come up with such as.. people simply living their lives?

The characters themselves don't have to be working towards some almighty goal, it could be something simple like transcending to become more powerful, finding equipment or even, uh.. starting relationships.

But, well, I'm sure GM-Law probably has better ideas, as he was appointed Roleplay Manager, and could probably co-ordinate RP events.

Just putting suggestions out there.

What all of the RPers need to just remember is that you have to compromise for everyone who ISN'T participating.

On a lighter note, do not forget what an MMORPG is.

Many Men Role Playing Girls.

Round up the Okaya's? Individual story for each player?

You know.. maybe there should be a "Story" forum where each player makes a post on his or her individual story. kinda to make a back log for a mass RP? You could make a Back Story section, and then each player's story under that.... kinda...

RE: Roleplay Forum - Fatalis - 12-27-2007 08:58 AM

I personally thought that this individual RP forum would be used to store character biographies/histories, and the usual In-Character posts, such as the one Spire did.

Well, the thing is, the characters of an RP storyline are extremely important. GM's can coordinate for certain characters to almost be main characters, or be used as part of story events because of their backgrounds.

For example a Wizard would deal with magical events, or be more able to perform in these than a Knight would, as they both have totally different talents. This of course can go deeper, as characters can have backstories that can be put into effect in game possibly, for really making people feel involved in HeRO...I dunno if you guys really wanna go that far with RP though :3

But yah, I had a few weird ways of explaining transcending and all that awhile back, and saying what gaining a level was and stuff *I feel strangely more powerful*

There was such a thread a while ago, just have to search to dig it up Icon_biggrin

Panda, I think that kinda of thread necromancy is best left alone. O_O;;

Besides, most of the bios posted there are people who has quit, iirc.

But! Yes, a long time ago, peoples posted character bios, back when the Roleplay Tavern was intended for more than a free warp to Pront.

RE: Roleplay Forum - Aaronock - 12-27-2007 12:49 PM

You mean to say there was a time when Roleplay Tavern had people in it...not just getting out to see pront?

AMAZING, I never thought it was so...*also has used RP Tavern for free warp to Pront*...>_>

RE: Roleplay Forum - Kaoreii - 12-27-2007 02:59 PM

Yeah, when the Tavern first came out, I recall a couple people being in there when I passed through.

RE: Roleplay Forum - Alexander - 12-27-2007 03:14 PM

There was a time when many people were in the tavern. Because they were all stuck.

In fact, to this day there may be no true exit from the inside short of suicide.
