If by manual you mean hand-drawn, yes, but it still has to be sent in the right format.

Question, for an npc can i draw more CGs? like the gravity npc when you talk to them they change CGs and so, i was wondering if i cold set different expressions depending on what the npc says, can i?. And Solry, Nice CG :D though something bugs me about her, i dont really know, maybe the color? but still, very nice i was going to draw her but you won me heh.

I've asked Pandora the same thing before (about the numerous expressions for an NPC to swap through), and from memory, the answer was that it would make the heRO.grf larger than she'd like it to be.
