RE: price fixing? - Zaratus - 10-13-2010 I find it interesting that overseeing sarcasm is a "standard tactic" in hero forums. I realize it's a hard job but completely overseeing it so you can say something irrelevant to a theme? That's stupid as hell. RE: price fixing? - Ngjoko - 10-13-2010 It's sad but true, people lie a lot. It's the bad way to earn good money. It's the smart way to earn good money. if someone doesnt take their time to research the markets, they are just asking themself to get screwed sideways. real life or ingame. Also, in real life, most people counter lack of knowledge by getting a second opinion, preferably from an unrelated source. Cool thanks Aaronock, now I need to change my selling thread XD. Still not that bad a price though. RE: ??price fixing? - Rankin - 10-14-2010 Ultima_Pi Wrote:In memory of Krimlin. RE: price fixing? - Merellis - 10-14-2010 See that's the thing. You want to sell a card, say so on main, then the person asks how much you're looking for. You, the person who is initiating the selling, have no clue what to charge, AT ALL. So you ask main. The person trying to buy gets a friend to answer with a cheaper price, not obvious scam pricing, but definitely cheaper then what the card is worth. Seller loses, buyer wins! The way to beat this, ask friends, just PC in general, think of what classes would want it and how good an effect this card has for those classes. Factor in effort to gain the card as well. Get an idea of what YOU think it is worth. THEN YOU CAN DAMN WELL ADVERTISE THE THING. If you're gonna sell a card/item, have an idea on how much you think it is worth. Because the second you don't know how much to sell it for, is the second the buyer can win. Lying is a fairly standard tactic in several aspects of Hero & rpgs in general. You used to have people that would be all "No I didn't get X rare" but now Battle Log says when someone gets rares, gears & Cards. You have people that don't want you knowing what gear they are using. Or which castle/MVP they are going after. Misdirection. So basically Hero is like a poker game. RE: price fixing? - Aaronock - 10-14-2010 But mind tricks are half the fun in these types of games. :s |
