I'd like to hear more about "le wild gillyweed" appearing.

I have always disagreed on just choosing monsters that seem strong from the ones currently available. If only because you begin to fall into the habit of choosing particular monsters when you go up again and again, or find yourself choosing far weaker ones then normal in an effort to keep it fresh.

The hard solution was to make custom ones just for Trial of Heroes and then to go wild with it. Monsters that would counter your usual tactics as a Sniper, monsters that would make you have to constantly re-equip your weapon in an effort to actually damage it, even monsters whose sole purpose was to just dive at you remove whatever buffs you have and then make you pay for daring to enter the portal.

Sometimes I went overboard, sometimes the timing and communication between me and the GM adding the monsters to the server would cause unforeseen circumstances that wouldn't be apparent because they were added less then an hour to ToH.

Though that one was just hilarious, and I'm 80% sure it wasn't hindsight.

Hopefully we see a lot more custom monsters for Trial of Heroes in the future, or else we'll see Snipers destroying the world again. And really, who wants an easy 70?

It wasn't anything overly spectacular as such. Icon_razz
I just personally liked having a basic story, aim or personality behind the mobs I designed with Glyph.

Gillyweed was doing to be inspired by the Gillyweed obviously from Harry Potter, but twisted in with the rest of that challenge. We were hoping to make it force the player water property, web the player as a strangle, blind the player (it's getting dark nowww), then effectively "drown" you to death.
It was a sadistic, feeding little plant by the end, but we had trouble making the player convert work, let alone a way we were happy with.

Hmm I wish I could've had the chance to look at it for you.

I agree but the lack of GM's now makes that more difficult.

Hold on, "Former-GM-Loki?"

Are you planning to not be considered "former" in the near future? D:

Once you're former I don't think there's a going back from that. But that's Pandora's call not mine and considering the way we parted. Not likely.

Doesn't mean I wouldn't have helped.
