RE:??Vista and RO - Shaelyn - 10-09-2008 Dosu Wrote: I wonder why those first two fields are blank. if I'm not mistaken (and I may be, I'm at work) those should be for your video card and screen resolution settings. can you populate those fields when you click the down arrow, or no? that may or may not have something to do with your issue. lol I'm not so computer savvy like that, but I try. RE: Vista and RO - Dosu - 10-09-2008 No, its all blank on both fields RE: Vista and RO - Dosu - 10-09-2008 Fixed it by downloading and installing the most recent graphics card update for my computer. But it still complains about the neoncube file RE: Vista and RO - GT-Hiro - 10-09-2008 neoncube.file? Try deleting that file and running the patcher. RE: Vista and RO - GM-Pandora - 10-09-2008 Deleting the neoncube.file is not recommended, as that will download you tonz of updates. It is possible you need to add hero and neoncube as trusted application or something? Can you go into your RO/Neoncube and neoncube.ini and post its content here? EDIT~~Thank you Seriyu RE: Vista and RO - Seriyu - 10-09-2008 Hah, ok, just makin sure. RE: Vista and RO - Dosu - 10-09-2008 oh no no, it's not xD RE: Vista and RO - Shaelyn - 10-09-2008 XD??back to the main problem... so a friend of mine had this problem with vista one time...with saving screenshots. what ended up happening was, he wasn't running the game as administrator, and the computer wasn't confirming that it was ok to save the screenshots.??because of this, all the screens got thrown into this one hidden folder: C:\Users\(username)\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\ProgramFiles\Gravity\RO ...by chance maybe this happened to some file you downloaded or installed to run heRO, and maybe that's why it's pulling a "file not found" error. so, you're selecting to run as administrator on everything right? you may want to unhide your hidden folders and go check out the files in those folders and make sure something you need didn't wind up there. if that's not it, that's probably as much help as I'm going to be on the subject - as I mentioned I'm not-so-computer-savvy, and I'm also not running Vista anymore.??hopefully Miss Panda can sort it out. RE: Vista and RO - fudashi - 10-10-2008 Nah, Dosu has turned UAC off, so it's not a virtualisation issue. The only thing I've done that's not standard is I've installed it into C:\Games instead of Program Files, which removes some of the file system protection issues, but with UAC turned off that shouldn't be an issue. How about installing XP on a virtual machine and running it that way???Running out of ideas now as you can probably tell :D |
