Well has the server is in Quebec and it is a private server (paid server) and not a hacked server (free), this server is legal.

So i don't think this server could have problems.

Arkanis Wrote:Does any GM knows the ip and or the person who did it, cause if yes just call the police. Hacking is forbidden and can be persued. Pandora could win money for the server maintenance xD

Technically there not hacking it there just overloading it...

We technically could report it but this is a pserver, private server, so we are privatly owned. How to say this... Technically we are playing a game that is quite free and not P to P.

Can I be any vaguer in my response? Sweat

Can't Panda report him to his ISP? Or does the whole pserver thing apply there too?

RE: Situation Update (from Pandora) - GM-Ayu - 02-21-2009

So the server host company doesn't really care, and all it can do is issue a "lolwait" command?

That's not actually true, if you can show that they have been ddosing you with out stating that you run an illegal, or rather, free server, and report this to their ip, you can pretty seriously f*** them over with out much effort of harm done to your self. What your server runs or is used for is an irrelevance in this situation.

The real question is, can you report the problem your self, or rather do you manage your own server, or does someone else, I'm pretty sure the server manager/provider is the one that has to fix the situation, but I'm a bit fuzzy on the details.

Its not illegal to host this server as its not a source of income.therefore it does not violate any laws because you arent making money off someone elses product. *puts on lawyer hat and suitcase*

Even better. ^ ^;
Though I'm still fairly unsure of the over all legality of the server, seeing as it, in a way, helps to obstruct cash flow from another company, by using it own, copyrighted(?) software.
