RE: Consumables for BG Points. - Gojira - 12-30-2011 Keep in mind, you'll use other form of materials to compensate for the demos you'll gain from BG points so there still is a form of farming behind the end result (If you're decently serious about BG you'll go there with pots and such). Also, not sure you BG much lately because only 1 creator actually does BG and he doesn't come very often (and he isn't trigger happy) o.o Edit: And if this can make more players to BG then it's a good thing =O. Sometimes BGs barely happen (3v3s) when they could be up to 7v7s. It would be fun to have big BGs on a more regular basis then in a 3 hour time window each day. Also, keep in mind, alot of us have been talking about ADs but when I suggest consumables, stuff like edp/pots should also be considered. RE: Consumables for BG Points. - mahawirasd - 12-30-2011 i agree with your notion about still having to farm a bit. And it's true i haven't BGed in a bit. But the reason i've proposed that number is to account for "break-even" average players. For top tier players the returns are many-fold even with the "break-even" number. Thing is, i fear that if we start with a high number, we could adversely affect the server - it is better to offer a "low" or "medium" reward and gauge the demand for it rather than having to reduce or remove it completely in the event of some abuse etc. My point is: by starting out in a prudent manner, we would be lowering risks of abuse etc as well as allowing us time to analyze the demand and adjust accordingly And yes, i agree with webs, gemstones, edps, etc too. IF anything, we could even give out the items in their final forms (read: EDP and bomb bottles) rather than giving out the mats so that it fits better with the players' BCR (having the risk of failure removed) W RE: Consumables for BG Points. - Seth~ - 12-30-2011 + 1 mahawirasd I needn't remind you guys that a creator has the most farming of all the classes if you intend to use it as your main character. Yes this is the way it was intended however in iro botting is allowed (by this i am not promoting this act). It's just that other classes has gotten much more advantage from this server mods compared to the several restrictions on the creator class (vs iro). So all in all a few potions as a reward for BG and imo more so WoE would not unbalance the game if done properly, and it would likely lure more Creators to be actively present in WoE/BG not as a result of exploitation but rather enjoyment. WoE/BG AD potions would be the safest route imo. RE: Consumables for BG Points. - trinitrotoluen - 01-01-2012 Yaya. +1 seth, ad is what i want. Add it to please RE: Consumables for BG Points. - CapitalVoii - 01-02-2012 I AD Like there's no tomorrow in BG and WoE. So add it up. RE: Consumables for BG Points. - Millia - 01-13-2012 i think one way this could be done would be make some sort of special boxes to be bought. lets say creator box would contain some amount of AD bottles and glistenings and prof box some amount of webs and gems and so on. maybe even elem converter boxes. while we at it maybe even could make first aid kit BG point buyable. RE: Consumables for BG Points. - trinitrotoluen - 01-14-2012 How sweet box! +1 add them to please RE: Consumables for BG Points. - mahawirasd - 01-15-2012 good idea about bundles, Milia. Though i think we need not bother with scripting another item just to make them boxes, rather we can just say: 50 points for xx acid, xx fire bottle, xx glistening coat, etc. W RE: Consumables for BG Points. - Seth~ - 10-02-2012 .... Thanks for adding the AD pots to woe consumables. *seeks a star for the scripter*. I do not know the effects on the potions used (potions used vs reward), have to see. However I have much less reasoning to not attend woe from now on. |
