We got a mining revamp on the way but it does not include any broken pick yet, so if added they are 2 revamp away. As others have said I don't think we can make items that stack "rot" or have a time period. We can always find other ways to limit ^_^ And for Mining Hat, that's already planned in another way, but thanks for the suggestion nonetheless. RE: Mining - Stylish change - Pure Sound - 02-16-2009 How about this =p I don't know if in RL there is any point in reparing a pick, :D but maybe when one would break, there could be a reasonable chance to get a broken (BUT REPAIRABLE! =P) pick that weighed as much as the working pick, but you could take them back to the miner and get them repaired for a cheaper price than it is to buy new ones. (an incentive for not dropping it) RE: Mining - Stylish change - mahawirasd - 02-16-2009 nice idea... really made me think of a way to really limit mining -> picks are equips which: A. can only be 1 in inventory B. undroppable (don't litter), unstoragable, unsellable, unstransferable C. can break, has to be repaired by the mining NPC D. has an acceptable weight (around 100-500 would be good i think) E. can be "stored" with the mining NPC when we leave the mine and we can get it back from him whenever we want to start mining again this way it's a bit more logical (similar to RL conditions except for the item being bound to the bearer)... -w- RE: Mining - Stylish change - Pure Sound - 02-16-2009 Mmmm... sorry mahawrasd but I think it would be really awkward and unpredictable when your single pick breaks and you have to go/fwing all the way through 3 levels of dungeon and back. =p But yeah a single pick would be better than 300.
