I think that passport is mandatory for flights between usa and canada but isnt for car or bus. :/

Namine believes that passport is needed for both, dear...

Hence the reason why tourism industry is in deep pain and crying.

Blame Bush.

Because passports are backlogged like 10-12 weeks. Or I can pay extra and have it in 2-3 weeks. Thinking

If I drive I don't need a passport...but...uh...S'prolly a long drive? And I'm too young to rent a car...without paying half of my yearly salary a day or whatever.

Appearantly though a 'proof of application status' is enough to get in and out of Canada, and I can have that in 7 days. So says the US dept of State, and they would know? lol

Interesting indeed.

EDIT -

US Government People Wrote:U.S. citizens traveling by air to the following destinations must follow these instructions for proof that a passport application has been received by the Department of State and is still being processed??as part of the recently announced Temporary Travel Flexibility for U.S. Citizens with Pending Passport Applications:

Canada,
Mexico,
Bermuda, or
the Caribbean.

You must keep a printout of your passport application status for departure from the U.S. and for re-entry into the U.S.??Some countries included above may still require a passport or other additional documentation.

Woot, either date is good and Maisonneuve is a good idea... As for the food, I could bring something and maybe others in the area could too ?

RE: Heroic Meeting! - Motenai_Ronin - 07-26-2007

a passport is not necessary to get from us to canada, but is necessary to get back in ^.^

Appearantly not if you drive? Unless I misunderstand...

It's an 11 hour drive from Richmond to Montreal. I could pull it off. No1 Even if I would rather fly...I'm a bit concerned due to issues with my ID/Residency still being out of Florida but I'm living in Virginia (my father is doing some wonky-yet-legal process that I don't comprehend) if I go to apply at the post office in VA, they'll look at my address and then look at the address on my ID and go 'wthax, wrong state'.

RE: Heroic Meeting! - GM-Pandora - 07-31-2007

Heroic Meeting is confirmed to August 11th.

For the hours I was thinking from 2 PM to 6 PM (EST) and people drop by when they can?

It'd be cool if local people can bring some food/drink, but is in no way mandatory.

RE: Heroic Meeting! - Eldakar - 07-31-2007

Great!!!

Il try and be there and bring some food/drink too.

RE: Heroic Meeting! - GM-Pandora - 07-31-2007

By drink, I meant non-alcoholic beverage, you understand this, right?
