GM-Pandora Wrote:I think you misunderstood there, or perhaps my information wasn't clear. For example if a mob gives 50,000, regardless if thats 0,04% or 0,96% for you, if you have 10 other people with you (so a party of 11 total) you'll get an extra 5000 exp (10%).

On a side note, you know how if everyone hits the monster you get more exp? You get much more that way that you get by the new +1% per party member that we want to add. If you have a party of 12, everyone will get an extra 11%, but I think it's well deserved considering that you have to get that party together in the first place, and then each monster's exp is divided in 12!

Oooh, thank you for the explanation Pandora. I get it now. Sorry
All more the reason I don't get why people are overreacting so much about this. The extra exp given by someone else hitting the monster is indeed way higher than this. Thinking

RE: More EXP when in Party? - Snapplewee - 05-15-2008

Example:

When killing High Orcs, you get 18090 (I believe). I use Am Mut shoes (+10% Exp from Demi-Human, +20% Damage from Demi-Human). When using these shoes, I only get just shy of 20,000 Exp per kill. That's 10% increase, shared with no one. Thats about what, 1890 exp more? Sure, in the long run that's a substaintial gain, but thats +10% solo.

So 1% isn't going to make a big difference, but it'll help. I can see this only being abused if you're in Bios3 or another place where the average kills are 60k exp and more. Even at 60k, I can't see it being very useful.

However, if everyone smacks the monster, and you have a decent size party, it'll be helpful. If anything, this could be a very attractive custom feature to new players.

Also, it may only be beneficial for those who are speed killers. For example, 2 Knights mobbing HO's will kill a lot, therefore may be able to make good use of the 1% gain.

Will exp share have to be on for this to work?

Yes.

RE: More EXP when in Party? - Snapplewee - 05-15-2008

Then this feature will be near impossible to abuse.

Or, does everyone have to be on the same map?

I could get 12 people in a party, EXP share on, and we go our seperate ways leveling, and then benefit from an 11% increase per monster kill. And of course, being on different maps means the EXP isn't shared, though the party is set to share.

I'm sorry for those who wanted me to shut up about it, but I don't want this to be unbalanced.

RE: More EXP when in Party? - GM-Ayu - 05-15-2008

i believe you have to be on the same map if I remember Loki saying that... I think o_o

RE: More EXP when in Party? - Snapplewee - 05-15-2008

My suggestion would be, if you don't have to be on the same map, I wouldn't implement it. That is FAR to easy to abuse, and would essentially make our server higher rates than it is, if abused properly.

RE: More EXP when in Party? - Fruityla - 05-15-2008

I'd think the normal partying rules would apply. Same map, share range, ect.

RE: More EXP when in Party? - GM-Pandora - 05-15-2008

Omg don't you guys read? All the info was in the first post.

Yes you have to be on the same map and in share range and with party turned share on.

*Pats Pandora on the back gently* Calm down Pandora. Some of them don't want to read and instead choose to gather all the info in their posts. It's ok that's why the rest of us are here ^_^

RE: More EXP when in Party? - GM-Pandora - 05-15-2008

I'm not mad or anything, but the info was in the first post from the start and the questions have been asked and answered multiple time in the thread already.
