@whosells - Kelta - 06-24-2009 i know its been suggested before. and half a year later, theres no word on whether or not its been considered, completely taken down, or what. But i gotta say, it takes me 15 minutes to go through EVERY shop to try to find whati 'm looking for. and while i'm doing that, i forget wtf i'm after. its just way too annoying. with SO MANY merchants, we really need this command. and it only takes maybe... 8 seconds to add this command to normal players. (8 seconds+server reboot) i mean, if theres a reason why it shouldn't be added, at least let us know, but there is really no excuse as to why it can't be added now. i'm sorry to be so blunt, but running through 100 shops is never fun. expecially when you forget wtf you were tyring to find in the beginning. RE: @whosells - Sepharius - 06-24-2009 GMs have rejected it, I believe. @whosells isn't added because vendors would simply @whosells whatever they're selling, put it for a lower price, the set up the shop. Other people selling the same thing would @whosells as well, see the previous person's shop, then put the price for lower than that person, etc etc. So it would kind of mess up the economy, I guess. And to be honest, if this many merchants bothers you, go check servers with a vending map, especially on higher rates. It's even worse. >_> RE: @whosells - Former-GM-Nara - 06-24-2009 We'll consider it when we do the new SVN update. Ze answer. *-* RE:??@whosells - Kretzer - 06-24-2009 GM-Nara Wrote:We'll consider it when we do the new SVN update. I hope that means the new SvN is coming soon. ![]() RE: @whosells - Sepharius - 06-24-2009 Is there a place where I can see what the next SvN will do? RE: @whosells - Kelta - 06-24-2009 i am not going to anouther server >w< i like this server. i'm just frustrated from trying to find something. and the best way is to check the eAthena forums. although id on't know exactlyw hat svn we're going to use :x and, unfortuantly, no @whosells won't prevent merchants from setting up a shop and pricing things lower. having it makes it faster, yes, but not having it doesn't make it impossible. RE: @whosells - Sepharius - 06-24-2009 The eAthena people are moving their forums so it's down currently. >_< RE: @whosells - Former-GM-Nara - 06-24-2009 eAthena has a tendency to go down, give it a bit and try again. Sometimes you have to wait for half a day though Q.Q We are going to get the SVN out as soon as its possible for us to do so. Need test server to get out of repair shop first though D: Until then, it's most likely halted (for those not in test/dev development and didn't know the news, test server fried and is now at the repair shop) And I know nothing about how @whosell (in terms of coding and adding it) actually works, if it's already in eA, or is it available to eA forum for grab, or self coding or whatever. And what we rejected was official price check central last time, not @whosell. |
