Quagmire, something seems wrong. - Avalon_Fates - 07-27-2009 I was fighting against machiavelli and I noticed something. Quagmire at the moment negates Berserk, it doesnt turn it off but when it lowers your aspd, it does so by what your aspd would be lowered too if you wern't zerked and just ignores the zerks aspd bonus. Is this suppose to happen or is it a glitch? RE: Quagmire, something seems wrong. - Quesadilla - 07-27-2009 Did somebody say Quagmire?! Giggity giggity But seriously, if I remember correctly it cancels out Spear Quicken as well... so it may be intentional. I've never heard of that happening though :O RE: Quagmire, something seems wrong. - Astroboi - 07-27-2009 I'm pretty sure it cancels 2-hand quickens (that I'd assume you had on before going Berserk), not the aspd from Berserk itself. RE: Quagmire, something seems wrong. - Avalon_Fates - 07-27-2009 I don't use the quickens. RE: Quagmire, something seems wrong. - Quesadilla - 07-27-2009 Well, I meant that as saying that it generally cancels speed-related buffs. RE: Quagmire, something seems wrong. - Fyrus Carmin - 07-27-2009 iRO Wiki Wrote:In PvP, Quagmire can cancel certain buff effects, skills such as Increase AGI, Twohand Quicken and Adrenaline Rush. One Wizard can create a maximum of 3 Quagmires at a time. I assume the ASPD Bonus from Berserk is considered the same one as the Quicken. RE: Quagmire, something seems wrong. - Janicealvein - 07-27-2009 It slows you down while you're in it, and cancels 2hq. But not the pots you used beforehand (I think). Are you saying that you're still slowed down when you come out of it too? RE: Quagmire, something seems wrong. - Motenai_Ronin - 07-27-2009 It cancels it out and you have to rebuff. I've seen this 1st hand on my hunter at stings using quag on my concentrate RE: Quagmire, something seems wrong. - Avalon_Fates - 07-27-2009 No what I mean is its not canceling Zerk, but when it lowers my aspd it does so without considering the Berserks Aspd bonus. For example If I run into the Quagmire with no buffs it lowers my aspd to 173 If I run into the Quagmire with One Hand quicken it cancles it and my aspd drops to 173 If I run into the Quagmire in Berserk it drops my aspd to 173. The Zerk isn't canceled its just ignored. RE: Quagmire, something seems wrong. - Motenai_Ronin - 07-27-2009 At least its down to 173 as it should be, assuming 173 is you with absolutely no buffs at all, save the items buff (as stated above) I think the "not-cancelling-berserk" thing is probably done that way because technically Quagmire doesn't work like Dispell (which when coming into contact with Berserk cancels it and of course drops your aspd) Quag is just doing its job of lowering ASpd, and whatever else it lowers. Plus if you were berserked and close to death, you'd prefer Dispell to Quag (because Dispel cancels Berserk and leaves you with full health, whereas Quag would cancel the effect of berserk but leave you with dying health) So Quagmire is actually a better choice strategically if considering Berserk. |
