A bit of an issue with the installer. - DoctahW - 08-08-2009 Now, I've already installed once before, but due to my reluctance to update Sakray via methods highlighted elsewhere, I was wanting to use the full installer again. It downloaded like usual, however, when I attempt to run the installer, nothing happens. The program it's stored in stops responding, and in general a sad time is had by me as Windows Explorer stops responding, resulting in a reset by me. If it helps, I use Vista, even though we all know how THAT runs... Anybody have any suggestions? (Whoo, first post.) RE: A bit of an issue with the installer. - Motenai_Ronin - 08-08-2009 I dunno bout the full installer I use the Ragray. It takes about 2 min to run it cause its gotta ask you to allow it through admin privileges (the part with the blackout screen) considering both installers are about 1.~ gigs I guess the full installer is the same way. Have you clocked it? RE: A bit of an issue with the installer. - DoctahW - 08-08-2009 It's more like I'm waiting for the consent to pop up, but it never does, even though my task manager says it's running in the processes. Sadly, I tried uninstalling HeRO in order to see if that was the problem, and of course, it isn't. RE: A bit of an issue with the installer. - Galt - 08-08-2009 You can disable the UAC that Vista has through User Accounts, I think. I turned mine off and it made everything worlds easier. And I also use Vista, for what it helps. I used: 0325 Sakray (without dlls or BGMs) RagLite (contains dlls and BGMs) heRO mini installer Question: Are you using an old installer, or the new one they posted recently? RE: A bit of an issue with the installer. - DoctahW - 08-08-2009 Worked. Thanks for the help, Galt! |
