Deviling Pet Talk - Naruhodo - 12-06-2009
(I already mentioned this elsewhere, but I think I need to make a separate thread about it so it'll get some attention.)
I was so excited to get my badass Deviling Pet after going through the Dark Allegiance Pet Tame Quest twice. I got lots of Large Jellopies and took good care of it to get it to Loyal right away. And then I get this:
"Tee hee I wuv you master!!"and "Oopsie I wet myself :'("
ok ok, so that's not exactly verbatim, but still it's almost that bad. I think it's Drops's pet talk or something??
This can not be tolerated. Deviling pet is an awesome, special quest pet for players with lots of allegiance points, and he deserves some great lines!
These are my suggestions:
"Listen, pal, you better follow my orders or else... *poing poing*"
"You're almost powerful enough to be worthy of my presence! ...almost"
"Peon! Your Ruler demands sustenance NOW!"
"I can't decide if I should attack Angeling or propose..."
"Forget God Poring. I am the true ruler of the Porings! Mwahahahaa..."
"DESTROY! PILLAGE! BURN! JELLOPY! *poingpoingpoing*"
"This tastes better than fried Sapling *grins*"
Feel free to add your own Deviling line ideas too, everyone, and I hope this can be added someday soon!

On a related sidenote, even my Pinguicula has ireelevant lines. She talks about visiting her cousin in Morroc (which makes no sense), she talks about wanting to be a hero poring (wut?), and that she has no hands (she has some!). Which makes it obvious that some pet lines were recycled from others, probably porings.

All custom pets use Poring AI. It's common over all servers; imagine Bios 3 MvPs speaking like Porings - it just doesn't work. Makes me wonder, why can't GMs of servers change the AI to fit the closest fitting AI, if not create new ones? Perhaps even make competitions on forums to generate originality in the script.
