Can't help but wonder, what antivirus do you use? Some antivirus are Sophos and AVG will declare anything that changes registry as viruses, even for legit programs and especially games (such as heRO).

Of course there is also Norton, which just sucks in any way, shape, or form. (Except NortonGhost)

I don't think that heRO has any virus in it in the full installer or whatnot, as if it does then many other players should have picked up on it as well.

i use norton and Macaffe or what how ever its spellt but it did give me a virus it deleted all my RO folders my windows setting and my email (lol) and when my pc starts up it freezes so when its fixed ill replay it (i want to SOOO badly Cry ) and Norton is really good...to me i guess depends on how you look at it (im very unlucky) and norton was the 1st one to pick up that virus

CA Security antivirus detects heRO as a virus also and I have no clue how to change the settings to say otherwise :x

Did the "virus" delete your RO folder and settings, or was it Norton that did it in an attempt to "quarantine" the files?

RE: this sucks - akamaru516 - 01-11-2010 06:26 PM

norton was trying to delete Internet Explorer and Macafe was trying to delete my RO folder

So, they were trying to quarantine the programs.

Did either give you a name of the offending filename, and type?
Also, did your anti-virus pick it up right has RO was installed, or could it be from something else, and simply targetting RO and IE as recently used .exes?

well after i installed it i opened up heRO and it said i got a virus. It didn't say what file. They also were not targeting recently used files it said i had a worm in a file that was in the Windows XP setting folders
