Can't connect to RO on school connection - Type - 01-22-2010
I can't seem to EVER connect to HeRO using the school connection during my lunch break. It opens the patcher and such but when I put in my login information it tells me " Failed to connect to server. " Why is this?

Your school probably has a firewall that is blocking it.

Well, you can tunnel to some outside location. But if you don't know enough to already know this you don't know enough to set it up. And besides from probably being against your schools rules it would also be pretty laggy.

Schools and public places tend to block certain ports, including the ones needed to play heRO, unless you know the network tech person and can ask them to unblock not much you can do, sorry.

Yeah, places kinda do that so specifically so you're not playing at school/work instead of doing your work you're supposed to be doing. It also serves to keep the internet reserved for the tasks that people who are doing what they're supposed to be doing, so they don't suffer lower productivity just so you can play games =P
