Look he's a confused rebel kid.
The eyeliner is goth looking, wearing pink is the cool emo kid thing to do, and he has a mohawk like a punk would have.
He's a mish mash of subcultures, I assume for now his gender is ambiguous.
Unless wearing or being pink automatically makes you a girl.
