Editing wing sprites/aura - Atro - 06-06-2010
Not to sound picky but is it possible to alter the wing sprites on this server? I don't really know much about editing other than you use the data folder to do so but heRO's data folder is quite empty. Was really looking forward to shrinking those obnoxiously huge light wings among others.
Also, does anybody know where I can find the files for the original 99 aura? Or a way to revert back to it would be nice.

It is possible to modify it on this server, as well as any other private RO server.
To do so, you must first have a GRF editor or some other sort of data file editor. I don't know the exact location of the wing sprites, but with a few hours of searching I'm quite sure you'll either find it or bleed out of your eyes.
I'll leave figuring out how to use a GRF editor to you.
Remember, don't give yourself an unfair advantage.

You can find it on google, I know it's there. You can also find guides on how to CHANGE the aura. Reverse the process to get it to normal.

I found a lot of custom ones before I stumbled upon a rip of the original. Editing the .grf file is really simple. From what I saw in pront, I think it just might be what I was looking for.

Don't bother editing the grf. Even if your data folder is empty, the server reads from that folder first, and overrides anything on the grf with files of the same name inside your data folder.
So if you find the original wing sprite name, just put a new file with the same name and directory address inside the Data folder and you'll save yourself some troubles.
