Do people only buy VVS weapons? - dhL17 - 06-17-2010

Hi,

I was wondering if people only bought VVS elemental weapons because I only see those on sale?

Do people buy VS or just regular (non-vs) elemental weapons?

If so, are the prices lower for non vvs? How come people don't sell regular ones.

If I make forge non-vvs would they not sell?

Thanks.

VVS is really good, if its from a ranked blacksmith it gives an extra 20 damage that ALWAYS hits. This can be important on high flee monsters for bashing or killing low hp monsters that tend to dodge (like anopholes).

Anyway they are just stronger and more useful because of these properties. I dunno if other types would sell or not to be quite honest, but since they are overall not too expensive might as well get the best you can.

basically all the things Dani said...

looking through databases such as RMS you could easily see which types of weapons are the most optimal to forge, and yeah they tend to be the ones with the highest damage and weapon lvl...

IMO people'd want the best they can get. VVVS or VVS Elemental from a ranker will do additional damage that don't miss, like what aaron said, and that is a few of the best one can get rather easily. People MIGHT buy weakly forged LV. 3s, but that's probably if they're desperate for the element or extra non miss hits or don't have enough zeny to buy the best ones yet.

so do I have to ranked in order for the weapons I make to not miss and do extra damage?

No, ranked will have double effect for every V.
VS : +5 -> +10
VVS : +10 -> +20
VVVS : +40 -> +80

though i'm not sure about vvvs, noone sell them yet so i haven't tested.

Or agi chars in pvp Evil

Do agi chars still flinch when damaged by a V-strong weapon they would otherwise have dodged?

As a VVVS ranked weapon lover (and a person having access to +8 ranked VVVS damascus) I can tell you the following:

VVS ranked = 20 damage
VVVS ranked??= 50 damage

I suspect VS ranked would be 15.

---

And I personally am always interested in a VVS ele or VVVS damasci, but only ranked.

If you are using skills a lot, having a ranked VVS weapon is not that important. +20 damage unmodified by anything is not that useful. You do want VS weapon though, at least for things like swordman's bash which stuns if it hits the target (and VS guarantees at least 5 damage, thus it can make stun effect slip in).

However, if you are using autoattack with high atspd the ranked bonus is something you really want.

I wouldn't count on selling a non-VVS ele weapon for a high price. There is always 'a' value of zeny you can sell something, but I am not sure if you will recover zeny put into making them.

I can't really remember but the monsters i "missed" seemed to flinche.
