Payon: A modest suggestion. - Spoofle - 07-10-2010 At least a handful of people are irritated by the messy free-for-all that is Payon's vends. The current rules for vending (keep out the roads, away form npc's etc) don't help payon one bit as the woody nature of the place means there's no clear road. The people complaining have been told to just 'stop whining;', but seeings as every other town has the neat-vending rules enforced I think this is a rather childish and unreasonable response. Therefore I think Payon and similar town centers should have a reference image vendors have to refer to in order to be able to vend there, something like this: (Just a rough idea thrown together in photoshop in 30 seconds.) Blue areas are places that vendors can vend legally, (the merchant's body must fit in the blue area, not the shop-box). Red area's are illegal vending spots, for various reasons. Feel free to revise my image, or bring on the dismissive comments. Thanks. RE: Payon: A modest suggestion. - Aaronock - 07-10-2010 Vending rules as of today show this: Vending Shops and Chatrooms Do no set vending shops or chat within a 7x7 area (3 cell radius) of any NPC, including warps. Only one vender can occupy one cell. In Prontera, shops and chat boxes can only be set up on the side walks. Vending Shops can only be put up in a town (except for Niflheim) or maps without *any* monsters. The "sidewalk" excuse applies ONLY in Prontera. That means in any other town I can vend wherever the freaking heck I please as long as I am outside the radius of the NPC *3x3 area.* Veins does not have a clear road for vending, I do not care if people vend wherever they please in my hometown of choice on this server as long as they follow the vending rule of being far away enough from an NPC. Out of all the things I'd ever expect this community to want would be more ridiculous rules. RE: Payon: A modest suggestion. - bugaboo - 07-10-2010 I don't think it should be so much of a rule as common courtesy. ): RE: Payon: A modest suggestion. - Fabre - 07-10-2010 i agree it should just be out of respect and common decency to want the towns of the server to look nice, so that new folk will like it and stay and old folk will be pleased with the community that we live together with. RE: Payon: A modest suggestion. - Matrim Cauthon Jr - 07-11-2010 On a scale of one to ten....I give overall Hero community a 6. Ten being best obviously. And according to your picture, only ONE vendor is in a bad spot. So why complain at all if all the other vendors are in "good" spots lol. RE: Payon: A modest suggestion. - Lady Mazy - 07-11-2010 I don't see any reason to complain about how the merchants are set up in that screenshot.??Just zoom in and you don't even need to look at them. If only they'll just stay like that. x'D Could maybe space the NPCs out a little bit to discourage people from vending around that area. They'd be less of an eyesore than the merchants. RE: Payon: A modest suggestion. - Spoofle - 07-11-2010 Sakura-toe, Mazy - Because it's been bothering people. |
