What exactly happens at these b-day gigs? I was told the last time they're "for rich people" and avoided.

Hardly.

Perhaps they were refering to the nobles who have them (Nobility being around 20-25mil), rather than the people who attend them.


You most definitely do not have to be rich or established to join for the most part. I know Arkania had a PvP based one a couple of years ago, though. (Grr. Queen's whip) But most I've been to are even joinable by novices for a good deal of it.

It depends from noble to noble, as noble birthday party is usually a combination of events that GMs can host. Depending on what the noble chooses for the events, it affects if money/equipment matters.
