Q: While a friend is in jail. - Selrahc - 08-20-2010 Ok, so hard to sum this up in the subject. I have two computers with RO on them, both register the same IP address. What would happen if a friend who has a jailed character came over and wanted to use my lesser used of the two computers to serve his jail time. since that would let us hang out or whatever. But while we're taking turns playing some other game, one of us wants to play RO on the computer that isn't using the jailed character. so the question is, would I get banned for Multi-Accounting? Neither of us are really paying attention to the jailed merchant, why would we. it's in jail, she can't even drop the soap. I'd appreciate some input. RE: Q: While a friend is in jail. - Split Ends - 08-20-2010 dont vend near npcs/portals :D RE: Q: While a friend is in jail. - ABlueJelly - 08-20-2010 I think it'd be fine, but I'm no authority on the matter. And what Split said, for your friend's future reference XD RE:??Q: While a friend is in jail. - Selrahc - 08-20-2010 Split Ends Wrote:dont vend near npcs/portals :D That wasn't the question. I'm familiar with the rules. My friend however doesn't seem to know where the rules are located. And yeah BlueJelly, I'm just really not looking to test it too heavily. I guess I'll just boot my friend's merchant off. RE: Q: While a friend is in jail. - ABlueJelly - 08-20-2010 Odd, he had to agree to them before he was allowed to enter the server. Or what, he didn't read those his first time in? RE:??Q: While a friend is in jail. - Selrahc - 08-20-2010 ABlueJelly Wrote:Odd, he had to agree to them before he was allowed to enter the server. He probably just spammed through them. Most people do once they've skimmed through the rules the first time. RE: Q: While a friend is in jail. - The Legendary Joe - 08-20-2010 It would be fine, so long as both of you are there to respond should a GM pop up to check to see if it IS actually more than one person playing. In short, Don't go AFK if both computers are running the game. If not, people would start getting the Ban-hammer. It would look bad, and most explanations would end up making you look even more guilty. I think the best way to get through Jail time is to leave the Jailed character logged in, and AFK'ed in jail while you yourself goes out and Parties IRL. So long as it isn't auto-vending, Every hour you spend boozed up is one hour closer to Mr. Moneybag's Freedom. RE: Q: While a friend is in jail. - ABlueJelly - 08-21-2010 Well, yeah, but you read through it the first time... always good to know that you aren't gonna get yourself banned XD RE: Q: While a friend is in jail. - Cobbinator92 - 08-21-2010 I agree with Joe, Throw back a 6 pack and watch a movie with a chick unless you are a chick then watch a movie with a guy.. or what ever you prefer... Point is... have some fun. RE:??Q: While a friend is in jail. - Mstr Keal - 08-21-2010 Split Ends Wrote:dont vend near npcs/portals :DI lol'd |
