Questions concerning orichalcum. - Seth~ - 09-22-2010 06:00 PM

Sorry to bother, i am such a newby sometimes.

You know that item you get via advanced mining orichalcum ore. Well if you go to the miner npc he can make you a pure one. There is another quest for 10 orichalcum at that npc, and a God item quest in heRO.

What else can be done with this item, since I have heard rumors about it being able to add a small chance of success when refining. If this is true can someone please give me a road map on how to go about this. Since the normal refiner still asks for elunium.

Thanks for the help.

So in game i got a disappointing reply, Is there any enriched elunium. Or something that has a higher chance of refining a garment?

There is but I think they are extremely hard to get...Like...the only way to get them that -I- know of is from GMs.

Enriched Elunium comes from Fafnir's and I think Surtur in Muspel.
You can also get them from events or sometimes Fairy Auction.

I think there is some way to get some from donations also. x)

Ahh thank you for clearing that up.

From what I know, the new world refining materials haven't been Introduced, or at least have been made unobtainable??or unusable by GMs.

Bradium (for Armor) and (I beleive) Orihalcon (for weapons) are used to refine items Past 10 on more current servers. These refinements if they fail, do not break your equip, but instead reduce their refine by 3.??And can go up to +20 if you're super rich/lucky. Needless to say, this process is a lot more expensive and difficult than normal refining.

I don't expect to see that extended refining coming to hero for a good long time, especially since it was intended to go along with renewal mechanics, where armor def isn't so absolute as it is here where 100 Def = 100% Physical def.

New World refining goes with Renewal mechanic as you said, which is why we don't have them.

+ 20 chung e garment would be over kill.

Many of the card effects I believe stop working at +10.
Or is that refine weps and armors like Proxy Skin, Valk Mant, and whatnot...I forget!
