The Wanderer - SkyStormKuja - 10-12-2010 The Wanderer He walked the earth, slowly, and with meaning. His footsteps with a goal. His eyes scanned the dry barren savanna of the Adumara Grasslands, watching the long grass and dead trees move in the warm wind. The sun beat down on him, yet he did not falter in his journey. His journey to the great city. He was on his way to congratulate someone. It was a day of birth. Of beginning. An anniversary of a world created that had brought so much contentment to so many people. His trek pointed him through the nearby city, dotted with high-end buildings and rich neighbourhoods. A polished marble road lead to the large and magnificent airship that floated lazily in the high winds. He remembered the many times he had traveled by airship to various cities and exotic countries. As he stepped into the large vessel, he felt a surge of cool air as the ship departed, raising high into the air until only clouds provided visual satisfaction. He hurried out of the ship, walking faster now as he approached his destination. He walked past the water, slowing only for a moment to watch the squalls on the sea, the afternoon sun glinting in bright flashes. Then, he was on his way again, over the bridge, and through the lush green fields that courted the great city beyond it. The walls came into view, large and steady, housing inside the many merchants that traveled the world in search of riches. Finally he reached the gates, and entered, feeling a rush of sound and smells as the large marketplace greeted him. He walked slower now, taking in the atmosphere of the great city, his eyes flitting across the various goods for sale in the stalls. Finally, he approached the fountain, as it stood steady, water spraying high into the air, Odin watching over those around it. He spotted her, standing in between the many people of Rune-Midgard, as they flocked around the creator. She looked up as he approached, and he stopped before her, all eyes on him. He smiled, and bowed. "My lady Pandora." he said. "I simply wish to convey my congratulations." He waited a moment. "Happy fifth Birthday, heRO." |
