heRO to host World Inter-server Tournament 2010 - hexzerg - 10-27-2010
Ok I am just kidding but this could be us. I asked yC of ratemyserver.net and she said if we can come up with a good proposel. yC will advertise and help us organize the event.
We just however need to convince Pandora of this. 
This is huge! This will bring so many players to our server if we can host the tournament.

Why would we WANT to host this? I don't mean to offend heRO's community - but exposing our WoE community to the "world wide" event would most likely be embarrassing, to be honest.

If anything the best way to promote heRO through a tourney would be for heRO to have an invitational or simply hold a tourney that's heRO's. That would require having a practice server that would be used for the tourney itself with tourney rules and gears as well as GMs having the time/will to act as refs and such.
Guessing you're new to heRO but the GMs like to make sure things are tested to hell and back before they're released. That takes AGES to do. I've never hosted a tourney but have taken part in enough to guess how much is involved with the setup. It's a hella lot of work and a lot to ask of the GMs.

Yea that. Hosting a tourney isn't really great exposure for a server itself anyway. It wouldn't give anyone any idea of what heRO is like. Those that would check it out (heavily competitive types) would probably find it to be lacking.
heRO is a GREAT kick back and relax server. Very very nice for more social types and downtime for competitive types. For actual competition it's lacking heavily. I liken it iRO going to RWC. Fun idea but in the end it's just an embarrassment for everyone involved.

it won't be fair somehow. customs vs donation items vs normal RO. these differs in every server so it may cause lots of conflicts

quoted for truth, although i think if we took the best of all the players in heRO we could probably assemble a single party of awesomeness.
