halp with ubuntu-tu - Incarn - 04-16-2012 windows died and i don't have installation disc. thought it was high time to try DUNDUNDUNNNNN LINUX but: tired of looking up everything. it hurts my poor little brain have installed and fully patched heRO on a flash drive. i right cleek hero.exe in it, i run it with "windows wine program loader". heRO starts to pop up - i see the outline of the window - it le disappears like a magician i run to terminal. cd /media/3C1E-ADB1(name of flash drive). wine heRO.exe same thing, with le errors: fixme:mixer:ALSA_MixerInit No master control found on HDA ATI HDMI, disabling mixer fixme:dsalsa:IDsDriverBufferImpl_SetVolumePan (0x17fdb8,0x17fd40): stub fixme:dsalsa:IDsDriverBufferImpl_SetVolumePan (0x17fdb8,0x17fd40): stub fixme:d3d_caps:wined3d_guess_card_vendor Received unrecognized GL_VENDOR "X.Org". Latest Version of Wine is 1.5.1 last i checked. Even if you do get it running you will likely find it laggy / slow. Emulators tend to take up a lot of resources when used to run something like a game.
