Mod Rules - Child of Bodom - 10-26-2012 It has recently come to my attention after a confrontation between me and a mod that Caps are not allowed on main in excess. I was warned about it, and I quite rightly said it is not in the rules posted on forums. I talked with GM Rahice and she said that it is in the mods power to do so cause it is in fact in the mods section under whatever it is that shows them what they can mute for. So heres my suggestion. Make whatever is not in the current rules that is in the Mods rules and put it in the normal rules. So that caps heavy main guy me will not get muted for a rule that he had no idea exsisted. Second: Ive seen a number of clowns around using invisible frost jokes. Having been warned that it is illegal I think you should change the rules to more specify that it is Illegal and not have it under some random rule that some people may not think actually classifies it as against the rules. Thank you for reading. Any questions, Comments, are Welcome. Long as you keep it polite RE: Mod Rules - Aaronock - 10-26-2012 Great suggestions that I definitely support. Transparency in the rules is extremely important. :] RE: Mod Rules - Draco - 10-26-2012 I agree with this as well because you never know when a mod tries to say, though I trust our GMs, that something is against the rules and mutes/jails you for a short time an you suffer from them making up or exaggerating a rule. RE: Mod Rules - Jens - 10-26-2012 I remember being warned for saying "goddamn" on main once. WTF? (was back when Rankin was a mod, tho) RE: Mod Rules - Snowhawk - 10-26-2012 I remember when swearing and speaking anything other than English on Main weren't allowed. Every time I log in, I see someone say something in Spanish, French, or Portuguese (I think that was the third one) and someone say at least 1 swear word (over the course of a 5 or so minute cycle) Even made a comment about foreign languages in main and got a reply from someone through whisper saying "Shut up". All the rules should be written out in black and white so we know exactly what is and isn't allowed. What's the point in having rules when you don't lay them down for everyone to be aware of them. Anyhow, I want to point out that Mod's are biased... They are soft with their "friends" are much more strict with the people "they don't like". I've seen lots of people swear or make fun of people on main, but are never punished. RE: Mod Rules - Aaronock - 10-26-2012 I can assure you I muted plenty of my friends back when I was a mod. But honestly, I haven't really had any trouble with any moderators for some time since they started loosening up on us saying damn every now and then. =x RE: Mod Rules - GM-Rahice - 10-26-2012 I can assure you that I get yelled at constantly by players for warning them for cussing. If you guys see something in excess then report it, especially if it bothers you. I would rather come home from work to 5 reports of players that need to be warned, rather than hear about how something wasn't done later. I work 30+ hours a week, sometimes more, and I know the other GM's work, have other things in their life and the mods as well. In some of the accounts that are being stated, there is a possibility that a GM or Mod is not online right then.
