Bad Server Lag - Menace651 - 09-24-2014
Server has been lagging realy bad lately. Last night we were getting constant spikes for a couple of hours. And the last couple of weeks it has been lagging really bad. I thought it was just my connection but other people are having the same problem.

Just because more than one person experiences lag does not mean it's the server. I was in party with you last night and had no issues at all. People are so quick to assume that if it's not them it must be the server. There are plenty of points between you and the server that could be causing the lag that neither you nor Pandora can control.

Yes Azure, I realize there are other factors that can contribute to lag. For example my internet connection goes to shit whenever there is a bad storm in my area. But the fact that this has been going on for weeks, every day, with multiple people lead me to believe that it might be a server-side issue. I also only live 1 hour behind the server.

Could be ISP issues, could be your computer's issues (something eating up your computer's resources like a virus or skype or bittorent or something). Connection wise, I have very few problems with lag. It's when there's a lot of sprites on the same screen that causes me to lag.

Ever since this topic was started, I asked Pandora to monitor server closer a bit, but she says there's nothing abnormal in both server performance nor connection to it. We'll still be monitoring it further, but for now there are no signs that it's server side, sorry.
