heRO's 10th Anniversary celebrations - GM-Pandora - 10-09-2015

It was nearly a decade ago that heRO first opened it's door! On October 15th 2005 to be precise. So much has happened since, most of it joyful, inevitably some sad moments too.

We aren't about to let this occasion unmarked, therefore join us for heRO's decennial celebrations!

The festivities will last a total of 3 weeks, starting today, October 9th, and going all the way to october 30th.

Note: Make sure to patch to get the latest content.

[Increased Rates]

Base Exp: 5x -> 9x
Job Exp: 5x -> 9x
Item drop rate: 3x -> 5x (including cards)
Quest Exp: 5x -> 9x
Homunculus Intimacy: 2x -> 3x
Party Bonus: 50% -> 60%*

Note: those are the highest rates we've ever had on heRO, enjoy!~

Challenge of the Gods: Odin has descended on midgard to issue a challenge to those who would label themselves as heroes. He brings with him Thor, Loki and Freyja. You'll find him in Prontera.

Pandelina: Happy as ever, the lovely Pandelina can also be found in Prontera, she carries a myriad of backpacks that she will part with... for a price! She offers Freebie, 4M Backpack Lottery, 12M Double-Backpack Lottery and the option to craft a Rainbowring Backpack. That's not all, she also brings a very special gift for you guys, rings forged especially to celebrate heRO's decennial!

Battleground Rewards price list updated with lower costs. That's not all, the rewards for Flavius have been increased as well.

New installers for a more convenient updated download, for new, old and returning players alike. (Note: if you are playing with the 2013 install files or more recent ones you don't have to download new installers.)

Not exactly related to the birthday bash, but for those seeking a fancy hairstyle or a wig, talk to Styla the Stylist in Prontera for a side-quest! It's available all of October.

PVP For Items ~ heRO 10th Anniversary Version


Date: Wednesday 14, 2015 at 10:15 PM server time (15 Minutes After WoE ends)

How this event works:

- All participating players will be warped to a battle arena.

- The GM will announce an item (or wear it if it's a headgear), and open a 3-person chat room.

- The players that want the announced item must enter the chat room quickly.

- The first two players that join the chat will fight each other, and the winner will receive the item.

- Once a player has won three fight, they cannot participate until the event has ended.

- There will be a mass PVP at the end, with a prize for the last player standing.

- There will be a participation prize at the end.

Rules:

- Everyone above level 90 is welcome to join.

- Outside buffs (Those from anyone other than yourself) are not allowed.

- Only the two players in the arena are allowed to battle. Fighting in the public is not allowed.

- The time limit for one fight is 3 minutes. In the eventuality of a tie, the announced item is skipped and announced again later. Both players may participate in other fights.

- Sending a trade, party, guild invite or friend request to the opponent will result in an immediate disqualification. To prevent this, use /noask.

- Dropping items while in a fight is forbidden.

- If a stalker loses a plagiarized skill, they can ask a GM to copy it again.

- GM Resurrection will be provided after the match has ended, do not respawn. If you happen to respawn, please PM a GM for recall.

- If you Disconnect during a match, PM a GM if you want to be warped back.

- This is a fight. You must put forth effort and continue to battle at all times. Do not run around like a pansy. If you're going to run around, don't come.

- Items that are NOT allowed:
  • MVP Carded Gear
  • Ghostring Carded Gear, Ghostring Scrolls, and Deviling Carded Gear
  • God Items (Brisingamen, Sleipnir, Mjolnir, Meginjard)
  • Yggdrasil Berries
  • Yggdrasil Seeds
  • War Potions & other War Supplies (Mostly because they won't work)
  • Dory
  • Nemo

Skill Restrictions:
  • Basilica is limited to 30 consecutive seconds.
  • Play Dead is limited to 30 consecutive seconds.
  • Chasewalk is limited to 10 consecutive seconds.
  • Hide/Cloak is permitted for an unlimited amount of time.
If a player uses a skill longer than allowed, the opponent will be considered the winner.

People's skill and power (or lack thereof) being dependent on certain items is not our problem. If you do join, know you will be on a more equal footing against others.

Assuming I banned the items merely because of the possibility of your presence shows an unhealthy arrogance from your part.

I would say it's a shame you couldn't join, but I honestly don't care much if you participate or not since it always winds up with you trash talking anything that moves.

Yep, just did a disguise event where people were transformed into monsters, then turned on PVP in izlude for people to fight! It was fun to see OYJ disguised as a Kafra, asura'ing everyone. :P

Also, tomorrow (Sunday October 11th 2015), I will be hosting a Trivia at around 9:00 PM server time! Make sure to join!

The rules are simple:
  • I will ask a RO/heRO-related question through broadcast.
  • Players must answer through #Main.
  • The first person to answer correctly wins a prize.
  • Abbreviations and the like count as a wrong answer.
    (Example: What MVP is found in Glast Heim?
    Person A: DL! - Wrong Answer
    Person B: Dark lord - Correct answer)
  • Do not spam. Also, if a question contains several answers, please answer it all in one line, do not spam the main chat with an answer divided in several lines of text.
