Replaying a recorded replay - The Roger - 10-31-2015 07:49 PM

I know how to record a replay through the rec option ingame but how am I able to replay it? I cant find anywhere the option to replay it =(

To add to the above post, before recrding you actually have a choice what will be recorded.

Also, in addition to what Kiyochan said, you can summon that window by doing:
Win+R -> {%Client Folder%}\heRO.exe -Replay

Keep in mind, the replay part is case sensitive, so "-replay" will not work.

Why would you have to use something like fraps to upload it somewhere?

Client records in its own format (rrf), that can be played by same/similar(ish) client.
Pros:
1) Since it saves only client-related data resulting file is small.
2) As own format replaying, you can see everything player gave permission to watch. You can see his inventory, movements, skill usage, HP/SP levels, move camera, close in/out and so on. You can even watch it step by step.
Cons:
1) This format is NOT supported by any video player, so you can't upload it to youtube and such.
2) If playing on similar(ish) client that misses some files, you may encounter errors during replay.

You can find recorded files in "Replay" folder near client. You can even pass it around to your friends to show something. On that note, you can also send such replays to GMs as a proof.
