The Ninja/Gunslinger Competitions - GM-Ciar - 02-23-2016 Hello heroes! As announced during heRO's anniversary month, there were some Ninja vs Gunslinger competitions planned! They were originally supposed to happen in January, but time constraints forced us to postpone the events until March. Below are the competition details. The Ninja/Gunslinger Competitions will be divided into 3 events: Monster Combat, Crystal Challenge and Mass Fight. Monster Combat
Ninja's turn - Friday March 11 at 7:00 PM EST Gunslinger's turn - Friday March 18 at 8:00 PM EST Crystal Challenge Ninja's Turn - Saturday March 19 at 8:00 PM Gunslinger's Turn - Thursday March 24 at 8:00 PM Mass Battle Saturday April 9 at 8:00 PM EST This part involves each side having a time limit of 1 hour to battle up to 15 waves of monsters. These happen at separate times for each side. The group that defeats the most waves or finishes in the fastest time wins! During a Crystal Challenge, each side must venture through a dungeon and destroy 5 crystals within the time limit. This is done at separate times for each side. The group that shatters the most crystal or finishes in the fastest time wins. Mass Fight is, as the name implies, a fight between the ninjas and gunslingers. The fights will be best 2 out of 3. The teams that defeats everyone from the opposing group will be victorious! Players may participate with one class for the remainder of the event. If for example, you join with ninja for one event, you must continue using a ninja for the rest of the competitions. The event dates will be announced approximately a week before they happen. The first two events are worth 1 point each. Mass Fight is worth 2 points. This means that even if one side wins the first two events, if they lose in the final competition, the other team will be declared the winner. There will be a participation reward for each event, plus a reward for the victors, and a final participation reward. Monster Combat Rewards:
Crystal Challenge Rewards:
Mass Fight Rewards:
Final Rewards If the player participated in at least 2 events:
If the player participated in all 3 events:

RE: The Ninja/Gunslinger Competitions - Summerstream - 02-23-2016 Ho...? Guess I better practice. RE: The Ninja/Gunslinger Competitions - The Legendary Joe - 02-25-2016 hmm, I'd question the PVP Matchups between a Gunner and a Ninja. Seems like Ciceda Skin shedding would just block the majority of gunslinger's attacks... Gunners have more weapon types, but it feels like ninja's have more variety in builds too. RE: The Ninja/Gunslinger Competitions - GM-Ciar - 02-25-2016 It's using WoE reductions (GVG settings), so ciceda knockback won't be possible. It'll still block the hits, but ninja would have to stop attacking and re-cast its defensive skills constantly, so it's more or less an even fight. RE: The Ninja/Gunslinger Competitions - The Legendary Joe - 02-25-2016 hmm, that'd mean shadow jump won't be a thing either then.... RE: The Ninja/Gunslinger Competitions - Menace651 - 03-04-2016 GS might be better in PVM but PVP Ninja's have the upper hand IMO. Cieda will stop GS attacks unless they are an agi spammer and FS = instant ranged death. Status weapons like those that can curse, stun, or mute will probably be effective on many Ninja in the fight. Triple Action: 3 Hits, so if you gang up you can already beat through a Ninja pretty easily. Rapid Shower: 5 Hits, so two will already hit the Ninja immediately. Desperado: 10 Hits, so 7 will hit the ninja. Disarm: You could be janky and use this to disarm physical ninjas from their weapon which they will be dependent on to deal decent dmg. If you, as a ninja, are forced to cicada to block off this damage you may very well die very easily. Eventually you will be forced to take an action that isn't Cicada or Illusionary Shadow or die anyway. It isn't really an easy call to say who will win pvp. I'm saying this as someone planning to enter as a Ninja btw. RE: The Ninja/Gunslinger Competitions - GM-Ciar - 03-06-2016 Monster Combat
