Do i have to download all of these or just the first two from this link?

I'd recommend just getting the full folder in the Downloads section on the forums...

But otherwise just download the first two, install them properly and make sure they patch completely. Afterwards install the HeRO patch to allow yourself to connect to the server.

Change the patch... I'm unsure as to how you got any errors with the patcher Thinking

Which patching are you speaking of? RO Client Patching or HeRO patching?

If it's just the HeRO patch here, you should of been able to extract the files using winrar. Afterwards there should have been an .exe file for you to open and it will ask you the location of where to install the patch. Set it to the location of your RO folder and it should install the patcher nice and neat. Now run the client, it should open up your newly installed patcher when you run it and download anything that may not be up to date.

What Rika said ^_^

You probably have a problem with your extentions if it opens with windows media player. Try right clicking the file and select "open with", either winrar or other zip software.

Can you provide us with screenshot of your RO folder so we can see what you might be missing? Or just give us more details to help you ^_^

Extract the patcher using Winrar. Notice how the extension still says .rar, that means it's still compressed. If you don't have Winrar you will unfortunatly need to get it.

Trying doing a simple yahoo/google search for a Winrar download, preferably with a virus checker and finally extract that lil bugger of a patcher. Noooow you should have a .exe that can be opened.

If you do have Winrar and I'm just blind, Winrar isn't showing up on the common programs list and you'll need to use that little "Browse" button on the bottom of that box and find it. Set it as the default for .rar files.

Easiest way to extract now is a right click -> Extract Here

Edit: Here's a download for Winrar Clicky Me!!

Future files will be in .zip format, apologies for the inconvenience. Hope you managed to open it after installing winrar, if not let me know where you encountered trouble.
