heRO client not starting - Kikumaru - 01-03-2008
I downloaded the heRO full install and got it on my computer, then let it patch, but every time I double-click on the icon..my monitor will go black for a moment, then I'll get an error. Here is the error I get:

I still think it would have to do with the options, can you also give me a screenshot of your setup.exe opened?

I've tried turning the sound off, but that didn't work either. This is really odd too, cause it's not like this is the first server I've played on >.>

I've been getting that error too
and it appears randomly so 
but it doesn't happen at start up. It happens in game

Well, I guess I won't be playing afterall. I've spent the past 4-5 hours reinstalling files and nothing works. I keep getting that SAME stupid error. It never fails. Every single time I start it..ERROR! Bah.
I'm not really sure what else to do at this point. I still have the following on my computer:
SAK_SETUP1017
RAG_SETUP1017
and the heRO mini installer.
I've tried multiple things and nothing seems to work. It's not like this is my first time installing RO on my computer either. I've played it on four different servers with this computer, so I'm not sure what's wrong.
If I had to take a guess, I would say it's because the Ragnarok and Sakray files won't update. I try running the patch for both and neither load. Something pops up saying the page could not be displayed.
That's really the only conclusion I can come up with though. If someone has something else I could try, let me know.

Ahhh..I've FINALLY got it up and running now thanks to Loki
I had downloaded the full installer, but I guess it kept giving me problems since it was the one released back in '06. Anyway!
Thanks again for the help! I'm going to go get started on making some characters now and if I have any problems, I'll be sure to let you guys know
