Cecil damon card - Serenity - 02-01-2008 10:37 AM

So this card gives a +5% increase in ASPD. Does this mean if your current ASPD is 160, then with the card equipped, it will be 168? Or is this 5% increase only on what you've gained since you were born (i.e. when you started, you have a base ASPD of 140ish already and these are not included in the 5%)?

5% means the actual delay removed in between your attacks, much like the Knight's and Crusader's +30% aspd skill

I still don't get it. So what would a rough guess of what the aspd will be if the originial ASPD is 160?

RE: Cecil damon card - Rhino_Man - 02-01-2008 01:24 PM

the number for aspd means that many attacks in a given time. The actual aspd formula is based on attack cooldowns (you ever notice how it takes a second or two to move away after hitting something?)

Cecil Damon, the quicken skills and adrenaline rush all reduce that cooldown by their given percentages. So while this DOES have the effect of increasing aspd, it's usually not as much as you would think. It's not a flat +5/30 aspd or anything like that, but it does improve aspd considerably if you understand how it works.

For the record, the aspd formula is:

200 - SpeedMods * (WeaponDelay - ( [ WeaponDelay*Agi/25 ] + [ WeaponDelay*Dex/100 ] )/10 )

Speed Mods = (100-ImprovementPercentages)/100

there's a formula you must use, it's lying around on iROWiki if you wanna check it out (irowiki.com) and essentially the card would be like a speed pot bonus, so plug it in to that equation.

edit: rhino's got the formula for you, and the speed mod stuff is where you want to put the 5% from cecil at.
