Ninja Help - Karnous - 03-03-2008

I'm gonna be making a ninja on heRO as my first choice.
It has been awhile since I made a ninja and would like some pointers such as builds, training spots etc

That would be awesome! Ok

Well, the first thing is to choose a flavor of ninja. Both ninpou and throwing have some abusable levelling tricks, and also lend themselves to branching off into mvp/pvp skills. In my experience, the two are fairly comparable for ease of levelling. So I suggest picking the style you like and working from there.

Which one is Magic based and which is Throwing i forget XD

and what are the governing attributes?

RE: Ninja Help - Crimson - 03-03-2008

ninpou=magic -->int= power of the magic attacks/dex=delay of the spells
kunai=throwing-->dex=power of the attacks

i would recommend the magi ninja type cause its fast to lvl and it is much cheaper then the expensive kunai type

RE: Ninja Help - Force-Attuned Krogoth - 03-03-2008

no no no no no.
Kunai, shuriken, and fuuma are based off your atk with your weapon. Knives are not dex-based. Fuuma also aren't. Even though it has range, throwing ninja takes str. (think Spear Boomerang or Shield Boomerang) For throwing, take str. In fact, you can very easily do without any dex whatsoever, because kunai and shuriken do not miss. As for throw fuuma, there's currently nothing you can do to make it worthwhile, so it's recommendable to just leave it out.

And frankly, having tried both, magic ninja is no cheaper to maintain than throwing. Unless you limit yourself to using underpowered spells with long cast times, you'll be burning one orb per cast, while the kunai are equivalent to one orb per four throws. Btw, if you're doing throwing you can start hill winds at lv60 easy. Three kunai to get a feather and talon that will pay for 20 more.
