grf question - GT-Hiro - 10-09-2008 02:41 PM Recently I tried to patch heRO with the hero patcher but it kept failing to get the latch files. So I looked in my folder and deleted neoncube.file file and it patched. But then when I looked at the size of the hero.grf it was doubled the size of the original one before patching. So my question is, what size should hero.grf be? RE: grf question - Dosu - 10-09-2008 02:42 PM mine is 39.6MB RE: grf question - GT-Hiro - 10-09-2008 02:47 PM mine went from 45.9mb to 96.1mb in addition, everything is snow covered for me right now O_O edit: scratch that last statement, I made a copy of the old grf and put that back into the RO folder so now everythings back to normal. RE: grf question - GM-Pandora - 10-09-2008 03:19 PM Yeah the snow is what made the grf so big, because it has new maps for all towns, maps which normally are in your sdata.grf. The september installer + running patcher should return things to normal if you encounter any more problems ^_^ (Deleting neoncube.file is not recommended.) RE: grf question - GT-Hiro - 10-09-2008 04:22 PM I think I picked up the snow from a patch that was from last year through the patcher. it was labeled hero_20071107 or something close to that. Anyways, I have a copy of my previous grf from 9/26/2008 and replaced the snow grf so its all good now. So will there be snow again? and thanks for the heads up (note to self, do not delete that file again) RE: grf question - GM-Pandora - 10-09-2008 05:51 PM There might be snow again in the winter, maybe not the whole world like we did last year. |
