Intro:
My Old Pal Joaquim and me were one day bored and we noticed that ro had quite a big selection of mp3 tracks.
"Lets mess with them a little bit" he said and there it all started, and 1 year later after messing with the tracks and learning the play back rate of standard ro clients and such we perfected a way to make Mp3 music play back on ro clients
The method isn't conventional and you need remixing software to tweak down the play back and theres certain sound levels that will completely knock down the ro client so what ever you do DON'T TRY TO REPLACE YOUR MP3 FILES UNLESS YOU KNOW WHAT YOUR DOING!!
Fortunately Joaquim and I decided to publish free of charge all the mp3 Music tracks we altered and here is the selection of Music to enhance your ragnarok online experience.

Instructions
Note : BEFORE INSTALING THE BGM FILE MAKE SURE THAT THE RO CLIENT HAS THE BGM OPTION OFF
(The small box on the option panel in game, click to turn off the Game music or BGM)
Step 1: Download the files to the desk top
Step 2: Use Winrar to extract all the Mp3 files 1 By 1 into a folder named BGM on your desk top ( dont worry about replacing Tracks since it was an experiment some tracks had to be replaced and here you do so)
Step 3: Once the file is finished ,Make a back up of the Original BGM sub folder in the HeRO folder for safe keeping.(you never know if you wanna change em back)
Step 4: cut and paste the MP3 tracks in the BGM folder In the Desktop and paste them in the BGM sub folder In The Hero Folder Replacing them all with the new ones.
Step 5: Open the Hero Client and run it.Then Log in, Once logged in Open the options Panel and click on the small box that turns on bgm off and on. then if you did it correctly you will notice the game has different BGM music. ENJOY.
It started Friday,October 30, 2007.
Project was completed Wednesday,September 16, 2009, Finally after almost 2 years in total ive completed the track list and to be honest i feel honored that hero is the first server to enjoy My art.

Trust me, it took us 1 entire year to understand it and not screw up and regular mp3 wont play on em, MAYBE they will play but after a while they stop playing,THEN ALL MP3 stop playing. Sadly its quite a delicate procedure.

It was a drag Man I tell you , we had to take down the ro client and find a small text that defined the lengths and certain Play back rates that were allowed in the client. The Key is the Play back Bit rate and the time the track lasts. They have to be no smaller and No bigger than certain specified digits.
and that sir is what took 1 Year of experimenting. And to be quite Honest....we were really bored...

I've seen guides on my old server about how to change the BGM of RO... it didn't seem hard to me; the short version of explaining how *seemed* to be "just rename the desired mp3 to the name of the wanted map's BGM that is already in the BGM folder." My ex-gf did it that way I believe... she put some hyrule music in Payon (guild's hang out spot at the time)

Yeah, I know; but Bloodbane seems to make it seem more complicated that that. Or maybe it's just me on how I read his post?

Maybe some clients don't support this? I dunno, if music turns off, I just hit the on and off button and it works agin ^.^;
