ragnasim or herasim? :D

Not sure if i can ask this here. But I was wondering if anyone knew what it would take to make a ragnasim like hero character simulator/calculator? I really don't know how they are made and would like to start studying up on it. And I would probably make it a download one because, I can't afford website costs right now lol....

if this is in the wrong area just delete it.

RE: ragnasim or herasim? :D

if u want to make a downloadable one, u might want to look into visual studio. u can program in c++, c#, visual basic. VB being the easiest one to learn. if u want anyone to use it on any platform, u can look into developing with java.

as for websites costs, there are sites out there that will host your website for free. if u dig deep enough, some will even offer free access to MySQL database (usually gonna be stuck with ads on the side or somewhere). but for a char sim, u're best bet will probably be using a free website along with javascript. that way, it'll be easier to update and maintain. if you learn php/asp, u can make the website char simulator even better. developing and updating an actual vb/c/java program will take longer.

there used to be a site called ragnasim

It rivaled Dobbler in that it was graphic and you could really get a reliable damage calculator, stat and skill calculator while also equipping your character out with pictures of gears.

yeah hiro, as long as you know a programming language well enough that also has the ability for a graphical interface, then you're good to go.

and as well, if you are able to make a working one, then why not have panda host it on heRO website?

will always be my favorite. But yea, I can understand why you'd want one with all the heRO customs in it, though you can simulate most effects with work around equips/effects already available.

- AIbus Dumbledore 93/50 Wizard - AIbus DumbIedore 1/1 Novice
