upload it to imageshack and hotlink it instead, uploading never works for some reason

Tinypic.com Is also a good site since you don't have to sign up for it.

^ what she said. Tinypic has a captcha but overally more userfriendly and less popup plagued than imageshack.

i may also be having troubles. im using tinypic.com, but when i use the pic URL, it sucsees, but my image is a broken link X in a box thing.
