RE: Chronicles of Faeheim ~ Fate of The Unknown
Some minor recommendations for the event:

- Unlock all 4 towns of Faeheim, if that's not obvious
- Consider putting them into your Favorites for fast warp to the location. You'll need to jump around the 4 towns to aid them.
- You *don't* want to set one of the towns as your save point: in case you get spawn camped by the Unknown

- Spot out the given coordinates in advance to see how long it takes to get there from the warper. You can use the information to prioritize which towns to save first if multiple are attacked at once.

The Fate Of The Unknown Revealed

A desperate siege on Faeheim by The Unknown took place just minutes ago. Faeheim troops, golems, and heroes alike bravely fought to defend the town. Cynbel lead the team at Fortuna, Selene was in charge of Marasmius, Lucretia handled Tessera's defenses, and Pixie and Amaria's teams protected Carandel. With the grunts attacking in full force, The Unknown descended.

The Desert Scourge Nehebko was the first to arrive. He was not a demon but an ally, one who claimed to no longer stand idly by while The Unknown's race perished. A flying fiend dropped him in the middle of Carandel, while another dropped The Spider Mother Sussistanako in Tessera. Another ally, not demon of the unknown, she was defeated soon, and allegedly sent back by Altjyhra to her home in the archipelago. Malcanthet, The Succubus Queen, was the third to arrive, and the sky terror Dagwanoenyent was the fourth. One by one, they fell, though a brutal battle was fought for it, until Jangantytan himself arrived. He marched from Marasmius field for the capital, but was subdued by Altjyhra's magic.

With Altjyhra, his only loyal companion Abyza, and the unconscious Unknown at the Dreamstone Core room, he prepared to extract the energy from the dreamstone core to leave this world for the Dream Realm. But it would not be so easy. As Altjyhra prepared a massive spell, King Farmond stormed through and began attacking everyone in sight. Fearing for everyone's lives, Altjyhra unleashed the warping spell upon everyone in the room.

As the heroes suspected when waking up, they had been taken to the realm of dreams. As if that wasn't enough, they had all been scattered. Amaria lead the heroes through confusing sceneries, explaining that the realm is shaped by dreams of anything that can dream, with matter in a constant state of flux.

The heroes slowly regrouped, travelling through vast deserts, and snow wastes, pasts floating toilets, chilly eggplants, and giant roots. Blasts from the past, in the form of nightmarish visions of Kushiel, Ostellos, Dark Lord and Beelzebub, stood in the way of heroes, but were no match for them, and their resolve to leave the confusing world they were trapped in.

At a hill, with only a single tree in the center, the heroes found Pixie and fought King Farmond, who, while still hateful toward The Unknown and their leader Jangantytan, resigned to fate during the fight, acknowledging the heroes were capable of facing him themselves. With a more calm demeanor and emotional words towards his daughters Pixie and Lucretia, Farmond's spirit was finally put to rest.

Only Selene was left to find. She was in a dream version of the area underneath Kaldheim Library, facing against one of her worst fears: Eudoxie. With the heroes help, the agent was able to defeat the nightmarish dream or memory of the dark conjurer, granting her some slight peace of mind, even if she didn't say it.

Then, final struggle began. To Altjyhra's surprise, Jangantytan was stronger than he thought, bending matter inside the dream realm in an attempt to trap everyone for good. He and Altjyhra verbally confronted each other, and it was revealed that Malcanthet and Dagwanoenyent were not warped to the dream realm by Altjyhra. They escaped during Farmond's sudden attack.

Jangantytan explained he wanted to live out the rest of his days on Midgard. He was not ready to move on, so he would trap everyone until they agreed to let him leave the realm. Altjyhra tried to explain they're in a better place, but the giant would not listen. A fierce battle erupted, and the heroes subdued Jangantytan long enough for Altjyhra to imprison him.

With the intense events behind them, Altjyhra and Abyza thanked the fae and the heroes for their help, and sent them back home, where, at the inevitable press conference that goes on right after situations like these, Pixie made several statements on Faeheim's next course of action.

First, the Dreamstone Core would be moved to the second "floor" of Prisma Cave north of Tessera, the only place in the region where natural dreamstone deposits can be found, presumably arriving via meteors ages ago. Machines placed outside on the mountainside would slowly release fairy spirits while preventing them from leaving the perimeter to cause any trouble. Several complaints already arose, especially from a local mining company, which would be forced to increase its security measures to continue working in the area, but Pixie assured it was the best way to put the countless spirits of fallen fairies to rest.

After announcing the measures to move the core, Pixie made a shocking announcement: She would resign and renounce the throne, leaving Lucretia to become the new queen. According to her, the recent events have made her realize her long rule as queen has clouded her judgement, for which she will, if allowed, return to her old post from before she became queen, as head of Faeheim's Commerce Department.

Lucretia, still surprised, accepted Pixie's proposals, and is set to be officially crowned a month from now. The future queen reassured everyone that Last Resort is heavily protected in Carandel's vault, with no risk of being stolen. According to her and other experts we talked to, the remaining Unknown who were not taken to the dream realm, pose no serious or imminent threat after Jangantytan's defeat. They will live out the rest of their days as they wish, without threatening any nation, knowing it could have severe consequences.

Meanwhile, Selene left Faeheim for the Peacekeepers HQ, her mission to protect the region now completed. We interviewed her just before she used the warper services, where she said wise words. "Mistakes of the past teach us valuable lessons for tomorrow. Compared to previous threats, very few lives were lost in this one, for which we should all be glad and grateful. A new day dawns upon Faeheim, with promise of peace. Let us enjoy and protect it, together."

Thanks to everyone that participated in this event and all the previous ones! We have reached the end of the path we have taken, and The Fate of The Unknown was revealed! Altjyhra and Abyza live out the rest of their days in the dream realm, while Nehebko, Sussistanako and Dagwanoenyent fled to undiscovered or unexplored regions. As the above text implied, this was a mid-quel, taking place just before the Prisma Cave Mining Company incident (just ignore the NPC dialogues that say Pixie's the queen, since I didn't wanna give that away <3).

What does the future hold for us? You'll find out sometime in 2019, but there are things in this arc that remain unsolved still, such as what Selene did with the pictures she secretly took of Last Resort, and yesterday's ingame broadcast/intermission involving adventurers Trentini and Flamel in Carandel avoiding monsters during the invasion.

If you have some time, why not provide some feedback? Let us know what you thought of this event, or previous ones, so we can make improvements for future ones!
