Mystcase Hat suggestion

As it is, for any non-merchant class it grants mammonite level 3, and for merchant classes that already have mammonite it gives a 20% boost in attack power to mammonite.

My thing with that is super novices also have access to mammonite, yet i have noticed they do not get that increase in damage. Granted it strictly says merchant class only, but it's not entirely fair for the super novice class to be left out once again. Now i am not asking for the same 20% damage increase, as i am aware that we super novices can get access to a lot of different buffs, though if you did choose to give the same 20% increase that'd be fine with me. I don't exactly have any suggestions as to what we could do about the hat, but I think it would be nicer to have something useful, maybe something like unfair trick for blacksmiths, reducing the cost of mammonite per use.

RE: Mystcase Hat suggestion

I see no problem giving super novices +20% more dmg with mystcase. It could encourage a super novice to make a fighter build to spam it all over the place, it'd be fun weeeeeeeee~

It's an interesting suggestion. Give us a bit to think/discuss/think/decide and you'll hear something Icon_biggrin

RE: Mystcase Hat suggestion

Would be easy to switch the merchant check for the skill check instead, thanks for the suggestion.

RE: Mystcase Hat suggestion

I doubt it will ever come up but Rogues could also grab this skill through plagirize, so it is actually good its being changed to check for the skill instead of only merch class benefitting from it.

Now I wanna mammo stuff everywhere with my stalker *-*

Yeah, sounds more benficial to rogues, considering with mystcase hat on it takes away from the angel set Icon_razz I find that more useful when leveling, though I don't have the zeny to spam away either way hehe.

Though on subject, good suggestion, would have never even thought to test it outside of merchant classes.

RE: Mystcase Hat suggestion

angelic set can be countered by using hp/sp cards rather easily. just get zodiac wings and a roda frog card, then throw a couple other hp/sp cards in your shoes and what not and you're really good to go for that. considering it is possible to one-shot your enemies you aren't really going to see a whole lot of damage taken, or at least it'll be so minimal that you could heal it pretty quickly.

edit: well at least some of the fairly easier enemies, the harder ones obviously you won't be killing in one shot, but it would be possible to do so with mavkas and quite possibly hill winds, though i am really unsure about them due to the limited weapon selection available until you hit base 90.

also i forgot about the angel wing/evil wing ears combo with the novice wings. it'd save you a bit from getting the card, though not entirely as useful as the zodiac wings, it does help when it come to sp, making angelic set somewhat of a novelty with the extra hp/sp it gives.
