Why +7 armor refine?
Just a question because I don't quite understand it. If I remember correctly, each +1 refine gives you 2/3 more def. Doesn't that mean you should aim for +6 (4 extra def)? At +7, it gives you 4 and 2/3. Does it round up to a nice 5 def or something?

Because the chance goes down enormly after +7 (60 % to +5, 40 % to +6 and +7, 20 % to +8 and +9, 10 % to +10).

Actually, yes, it seems it DOES round up (I'd never really stopped to test it before).

I have +7 wool and +7 tidals. When I take everything else off I have 16 DEF from those two alone. They each have 3 DEF without refine. When I wear one at a time I have 8 DEF. 3+4.6667 is rounded up to 8 in RO.

It's also statistically calculated to have the best cost-time-ratio in terms of making the equip.
