Problems for game start

Hello,
it is the first time I try to play this server. I have downloaded the full install file and executed it. I let it completely updated and pushed start button but window dissapeared and nothing occured. Game was not started. I have downloaded the aditional .dll files but it did not work.
I would appreciate any support in this stuff.

Try going to your heRO folder and opening heRO.exe client directly and by-pass the opening through the patcher. Just remember to check for patches every so often!

When I do so nothing occurs again. Even not the updating window is opened. I don?t know if this matters but I am trying to run it under Virtual Box because I have a Mac. Other applications and internet connection run correctly under this virtual windows xp.

Oh, I was hoping this was going to be an issue that you have with running heRO on Windows. I am not familiar with Mac's in the least bit as I have never used them. I do know that there's been prior talk about how to fix issues in order to be able to run the server in the past.

I'll see what information I can dig up, but in all honesty I'll probably wind up googling information to try and assist.

I seem to be encountering a problem during start up as well. The game starts but only in a minimized window in the corner of my desktop. There is no option to maximize the window and I can't drag it larger either. Is there any known fix or solution for this?

I use Windows 8 Pro x64 and used the full installer + bgm file. Everything patched fine.

I'm not sure if this will work for MAC as well but I encounter this every now and then and there are two things I check:

1. Right-click and open as administrator (the hero.exe or patcher).
2. Check the setup.exe to make sure it's using the correct graphics driver and/or the size is appropriate.

If you don't have a Setup.exe, attempt to download this.. If it fails to work, do let us know.
