Error: Cannot Find File (resolved)

I just downloaded and installed the heRO client last night and started a new character. It's been probably 5 years since I played on this server, so I decided to make a new character.

I got in game, did the novice training, and went to Prontera to do the Acolyte job change. As soon as I changed jobs, the game displayed this error box and about 5 others that looked just as incomprehensible and the game went black and stopped responding.


I can log in just fine on other characters, but every time I try to log in with this one, it gives me the error and crashes again.

Edit: I tried uninstalling, setting the installer to Run As Administrator, and reinstalled the game. Then made sure the Patcher also had administrator rights.
Now I can get in to that character but every time I load, it still displays the error messages. They also display while changing maps.

I thought it might have something to do with the custom color palette because I had switched my colors before changing jobs, but after getting back in, I changed to the default and still have the error.

Hello, and welcome back to heRO!

The error happens when an acolyte or gunslinger has an adventurer knife equipped. They normally don't have a sprite for daggers, so it causes error to you and everyone nearby.

I've reset your look via control panel. The weapon should be unequipped now and you should not receive any errors. Have fun!

Thank you so very much! I had walked out into Prontera earlier while it was still giving me an error, I hope I didn't cause any of the merchants trouble.

I'm able to play just fine now, thank you again!

The merchants in Prontera are @at'ers, so there's no one actually playing on those characters ^-^ You likely didn't error anyone in Prontera due to this.

Hello, I recently started playing this server again after not playing for who knows how many years now and decided to make a new character. However, after doing the acolyte quest, I got this very same error. please help, I'd really like to be able to play?

Also, if I remember correctly, you can enter spam through these errors and then get ingame fine to unequip knife yourself.

Knife will be fixed asap, sorry for trouble ^_^'
