The Novice Trials, Feb 27th 16:00

Annoyed that you got no chance to get better gears because you are new to the server and can't race veterans on MvP kills even though you think you are the more skilled players?

Join us in a the Novice Trials where for this month, neither level, stats or equipment matter! Create a brand new level 1 novice and meet at the spawn point (do not enter the Training Ground or be born) and compete in novice games. Only your knife and cotton shirt will be allowed. GM will be at the novice spawn point to invite you to the event.

You will need at least 1 Allegiance Point to join for this event.


You will be given job level 10.

You will form a party for the allegiance you want to sign up for in this event. This is a collaboration event for your allegiance.

There are 3 events. The allegiances will compete to see which one will win 2 events out of 3.


Event 1: Trial of the Blossoms

The Flower Mazes return, except this time it is collaborative within the allegiances! Survive and navigate through 5 different Flower Mazes of increasing length/difficulty. Participating novices need to reach from one end of the dangerous path to the other end. Series of immovable monsters block the way. Be precise in your movement, and see through all the traps to reach the other end. Excessive stalling will result in GMs spawning monsters to force novices to move on quickly or face death.

A few minutes of the trial will be given for everyone to learn what this event is about. Any progress made during trial runs do not count.

Navigate through the maze of flowers. When anyone on your allegiance reaches a check point, you will be revived + warped to the checkpoint to progress further.

The first allegiance to reach the end will win this round!

In case where neither allegiance reach the end, then the allegiance that is closest to the end will be the winner.

Underdog bonus
If allegiance with a lower team member count wipes out, they will be revived and restart at their latest checkpoints with GM help once.


Event 2: Fabre Master

Every novice will be given fabre tames along with some basic healing items. Novices will be tasked to tame as many fabres as possible. Note that unlike the usual Fabre Tame event, there will be NO RESURRECTION.

The allegiances will be put on separate maps for this event.

This event will be decided by the allegiance with the higher average number of fabre eggs obtained per player.


Event 3: Mine Sweeper

If both allegiances won 1 event, then we will have the Mine Sweeper death match. In a small enclosed space where pvp is NOT enabled, the two allegiances will have to try to kill each other through the use of Marine Spheres, which are randomly spawned throughout the map.

The allegiance that have any novices surviving at the end, will be the winner.

In cases where everyone dies so neither allegiances have a surviving member, everyone will be revived and the event restarts.

Underdog bonus
When the allegiance with a lower team member count suffers a clear loss, a number of their novices will be randomly selected to be resurrected to continue the game. This number is equal to the differences in the number of players between the 2 allegiances.
