I have a 3DS. I got it when it was $250 XD

Kinda disappointed with the current selection, but Nintendo is finally moving into a full switch over with more than 90% of he new games being for the 3DS.

*saw a bit about people not being able to see 3D stuff*

I'm one of those. I keep my 3D function off to save battery since I can't see it anyway XD. Can't wait for the new Animal Crossing though.

Oh, 'bout the 3D function, it's mostly aesthetic anyways, and like Snowhawk said above, it's also a charge guzzler. It does look good on some games, most of them are better with the 3D off. Blazblue CS2 comes to mind.

Anyway what I'm saying is, don't make the fact that 3DS have 3D the main point of having that portable. Best reason for having a platform is to go after the games it got.
I for one love my own because it have VVVVVV! On a portable! GIMMY!
